WHAT IS SHARED CLOUD HOSTING?

Our Shared Cloud Hosting service is cluster of High Performing Servers located at various Geographical Locations and on different High Speed Networks. A single node various customers due to the nature of Shared Hosting but each Node is always underloaded so if your website or another customer's Website gets a traffic boost, the servers are well prepared to handle it. A load balancer is also monitoring every node 24/7 to ensure that the load is managed by every server and bringing up the backup server in case a server goes down.

WHAT CONTROL PANEL DO I GET?

We offer cPanel with every Shared Cloud Hosting pack which happens to be the most popular Hosting Control Panel. Apart from it being easy to use and offering simple file manager, it also offers you Email Account Management, Domain Management and various security tools.

WHAT IS THE SERVER ENVIRONMENT LIKE?

Every server has LAMP (Linux, Apache, MySQL, PHP) stack installed. Furthermore, servers also offer:

  • PHP with FastCGI
  • phpMyAdmin for MySQL
  • Git (via Command Line)
  • Perl

DO YOU TAKE BACKUPS OF MY DATA?

Sure we do. We take backup of your data at 3 intervals: Daily, Weekly and Monthly. All of the data is stored for 1 Month. Although the backups are only for our disaster recovery process, you can request also request a backup of your data.

IS THERE A LIMIT OF DATABASES, EMAIL ACCOUNTS OR FTP ACCOUNTS?

Nope, you can create an unlimited number of Databases, Email Accounts, FTP Accounts, Subdomains on every Plan.

CAN I INSTALL CMS LIKE WORDPRESS, JOOMLA, DRUPAL ETC?

Absolutely! Cloudytics offers automatic installer for these and 350+ more CMS and scripts. That being said, you could install Wordpress in ~20 seconds.

CAN I GET SSH ACCESS?

Yes, we do offer SSH access upon customer request.

HOW CAN I MOVE FROM MY CURRENT HOST TO CLOUDYTICS?

We do offer Migration Services if you're moving from a host and cannot move the data by yourself. Please check out the Switch to Cloudytics page for more information.

How is it different from your Cloud Hosting?

Our Cloud Hosting product is more suitable for smaller websites with lesser traffic. The resources in Cloud Hosting are shared but the resources in Cloud Servers are dedicated. You also do not have the root access in Cloud Hosting but you do in Cloud Server.

Can I manage the server myself?

If you're good at Linux then yes, you can manage the server yourself. If you are not experience with Linux, we recommend you our Expert Managed plans as we take all your hassles from you.

How long does the setup take?

The setup is instant for most orders. There might however be a hold if your order gets flagged by our abuse detector. Your order then gets manually processed in 24 hours.

Is it possible to upgrade my plan?

Yes, you can upgrade your server at any point of time. If you are using the Expert Managed Plan, the expert would recommend you any upgrades/downgrades you could opt for.

What is the hardware of the Host Node?

There is no specific hardware used on every node, but always keeps getting upgrades with every new node we deploy. All the processors have a benchmark score of 10k or above. They are in the E3 or E5 series. Host Nodes have memory ranging from 32GB - 128GB.

What is the Uptime Guarantee?

We offer a 99.99% uptime guarantee. Its not just the word, we offer 5% credit for every 30 minutes of downtime which is pretty rare in itself.=

Will my website go down during the migration?

No, we try our best to avoid any kind of downtime but whenever there's technology involved, there's always a slight chance of the unexpected things.

How long does the process take?

The migration process can take anywhere from 24-72 hours. Your billing cycle for the product only starts after the migration is complete.

Do you use an automated software of some kind for the migration?

No, as every website is setup in a different way, we use the good-old manual approach for migration.

Can we schedule a call prior to migration?

Yes, we can schedule a call as well to clear our any questions you might have. We will notify you when we start and complete the migration process via email.
